Ms. Terry tutored my 5th grader for 2 months in Saxon 6/7 & Imacs. I found her to be very helpful. My daughter was not excited about math or about having a math tutor, and by the end of the sessions she was laughing, and enjoying math. Ms. Terry would say things like "I love math", and "I know everyone can't be as lucky as me, because I love math". It was exactly what I needed to have happen... a positive role model for my math phobia girl.
They did mental math games, help with homework, and even complex developmental math problems. She was upbeat, and a joy to have in our home. Next time, I may take my daughter to her home, so it is a little more quiet (with younger siblings). Even with siblings however, it was a positive experience, and we conquered the math mountain for another school year.
